Textured entrance matting helps remove soil, sand and grit from footwear. Under repeated footsteps, these abrasive particles can wear carpet fibres and scratch hard-floor finishes, making surrounding flooring look older sooner.
Catch moisture and residue
A longer walk-off area gives footwear more contact with the matting, helping collect fine debris, salt residue and moisture from rain or melting snow before they spread onto surrounding floors.
Remove what collects
Matting helps hold dry soil and grit for regular vacuuming. Removing this buildup before the mat becomes overloaded helps limit tracking and protect nearby flooring. Wet or salt-soiled mats also need appropriate cleaning and drying.

Material & planning details
The needle-punched surface uses 100% solution-dyed polypropylene, with the colour built into the fibres during production. Both thickness options have a natural/synthetic composite rubber backing and are intended for indoor or outdoor entrances. We check the location and floor beneath before recommending a suitable option.

The thinner ⅜ in option may suit entrances with limited door clearance or a shallower mat recess. We check the required fit, finished height and edge treatment before recommending either thickness.
