Frequently asked questions
Pricing & estimates
Do You Give Estimates?
Yes. We will give a free phone consultation and discuss all the particulars of the job.
If a job requires exact measurements before material can be ordered, a measurement charge applies. The amount depends on the number of areas and the time required to prepare the layout. This modest fee provides accurate quantities and proper seam planning.
If you are asking about labour only, we can usually provide a reasonably accurate installation estimate over the phone after discussing the job details.
Do You Pick Up Material?
Yes. There is a minimal charge to pick up.
How Much Does It Cost To Install Carpet Toronto (In The Greater Toronto Area)?
Labour cost is divided into two parts. Basic Labour and Special Upholstery.
Our basic labour minimum starts at $399 plus HST. Final pricing depends on the carpet style, pattern matching, fibre, underpad, travel and floor conditions. Basic labour covers straightforward installation on flat areas with minimal preparation.
Examples include bedrooms, living rooms and basements. Removal of existing flooring, furniture moving, disposal, transitions, floor preparation and stairs are charged separately when required. Special upholstery covers areas that require additional time and skill.
Custom runner templates, half-moon landings and open-sided steps that must be wrapped around pickets are considered special upholstery. A visual inspection is required to determine the cost.
But as a ballpark figure for you to budget, the square footage cost for basic carpet installation could range anywhere from 50 cents to 95 cents per square foot in general in the Greater Toronto Area ( Ajax, Aurora, Brampton, Brock, Burlington, Caledon, Clarington, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, Halton Hills, King, Markham, Milton, Mississauga, Newmarket, Oakville, Oshawa, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Scugog, Toronto, Uxbridge, Vaughan, Whitby, and Whitchurch-Stouffville ).

Which Areas Do You Cover In Toronto, Ontario?
Please contact us by phone as we do service certain areas depending on your project size and deadline. However, our general coverage area map is as follows; (Ajax, Aurora, Brampton, Caledon, Markham, Mississauga, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Toronto, Vaughan, Whitby and some parts of Whitchurch-Stouffville)
How Do I Get An Estimate?
Since most repairs are smaller, it’s difficult to physically see each job, give a bid, and then set up another time to come back and do the work. I try and give a close estimate by phone and propose this on what information is given to me.
If an agreement is made, then an appointment is made to perform the work and at that time if additional work is needed to complete the job, a more accurate cost will be discussed. I am always honest and fair with what needs to be done to properly fix the problem.
Sending digital images are always helpful. You can attach digital images thru our Contact Us form.
Is The Phone Estimate Binding?
Phone estimates are a solid starting point when room sizes and conditions are clear. Final pricing is confirmed after measure or site review when stairs, furniture, removal, or floor prep are involved.
Do You Charge Extra For Stairs, Furniture, Or Old Carpet Removal?
Yes. Basic labour covers straightforward flat areas. Stairs, furniture moving, tear-out, disposal, transitions, and floor prep are itemized separately so you see exactly what you are paying for.
Do You Offer Financing Or Deposit Options?
Deposits and payment schedules are confirmed on your estimate. We accept cheque, e-transfer, Visa/Mastercard, PayPal, and third-party financing when available, subject to approval.
Can I Get A Written Estimate Before Booking?
Yes. After a phone consult or Shop-at-Home visit we can send a written preliminary estimate with labour, materials and any extras listed separately so you can compare apples to apples.
Do You Charge For A Shop-At-Home Visit?
Shop-at-Home consults are arranged around your schedule. Any visit or measure fee is explained up front and is often credited toward the install when you proceed with us.
What Is Included In The Service Minimum?
The service minimum covers a basic labour scope on flat areas when conditions are straightforward. Stairs, tear-out, furniture moving, disposal, transitions and floor prep are quoted separately when needed.
Do You Price By The Square Foot Or By The Job?
We quote by the job after reviewing rooms, stairs and conditions. Square-foot ranges are only a ballpark for budgeting. Your written estimate lists labour and extras clearly.
Can I Compare Your Quote To A Big-Box Installer?
Yes. Ask every quote to separate labour, pad, tear-out, stairs and disposal. We itemize so you can compare scope, not just a single bottom-line number.
Are Travel Or Parking Fees Hidden In The Price?
No. Coverage and any access notes are discussed up front. What you see on the estimate is what we charge for the agreed scope.
Do You Price Matching Or Patterned Carpet Differently?
Pattern match and directional goods can add waste and labour time. We flag that during measure so the estimate reflects real material and install effort.
Installation & products
Do You Sell Flooring Products-Such As Wall To Wall Carpet, Vinyl Tiles (LVT / VCT) For Both Residential And Commercial Applications?
Yes. And are very competitive.
We are working closely with a flooring brokerage company wholesaler that orders direct from the carpet manufacturer, passing the savings along, thus eliminating the middleman.
Do You Give Recommendations On What Type Of Carpet And Pad To Use?
Yes. We have a vast knowledge of carpet and will always try to be helpful and honest in the selection of what is best suited for your needs.
All pad recommendation is in accordance with manufacturer and Carpet and Rug Institute guidelines.
Will New Carpet Off-Gas For At Least For Years, Is That Right?
Absolutely not. This is false information, most “off-gassing” of new carpet is within the first 24 hours or so if the carpet was shrink-wrapped at the factory and was opened in your house for the first time.
Most of the products that we sell are rolled goods and they are not shrink-wrapped. Properly ventilate with good air exchange for approximately the first couple to three days.
The new carpet smell should dissipate at this time. This off-gassing happens in most brand new household and office items such as; paints, stains, varnishes, insulation, flooring, kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertops, plywood, particleboard, paint strippers, copiers, computers, printers (very high on laser printers) and your brand new car… “Off-gassing” refers to the evaporation of synthetic compounds used in manufacturing a host of products, from cars to computers and toys to tennis balls.
“
Do You Offer Some Cheap Carpets or Loose Lay Installations?
We believe that each and every project for us is just like a famous’ painters painting. Therefore we pay close attention to our artwork before we place our signature.
Certain industry standards and quality craftsmanship are performed on all our projects. We do have cheap inexpensive carpet and flooring options available.
Do You Handle All Your Own Work, Or Do You Have Someone Else You Sub-Contract To?
We do not sub-contract any of our jobs. I personally supervise one or other all of our works, ensuring a professional top quality job.
All of our technicians are strictly working full time for our company.
Should The Original Installation Last The Life Of The Carpet?
Most definitely yes, otherwise no one would consider purchasing carpet if it really had to require regular adjustment and stretching every so often. Proper installation along with the right carpet and underpad selections you should NEVER require carpet stretching.
Therefore we do provide a Life Time Labour Warranty on all of our new carpet installations. However, with your existing wall to wall carpet, there are so many variables that cause the carpet to need a “tune-up” from time to time.
Carpet is amazing to take the abuse it receives, but occasionally something happens and the best course of action is to take care of it as soon as possible so that the problem doesn’t worsen. Repairing is cheaper than replacement.
How Long Does A Typical Carpet Install Take?
Most single-area residential installs finish in one day. Full-house or stair-heavy jobs may take longer. We confirm timing after measure so you can plan furniture and access.
Do I Need To Be Home During Installation?
Someone 18+ should be available for access and a final walk-through. We protect floors and clean as we go, then review seams and transitions with you before we leave.
What Underpad Do You Recommend?
Pad choice depends on carpet construction, traffic and subfloor. We follow manufacturer and CRI guidelines and explain density and thickness options during your consult.
How Do You Protect My Home During Install?
We use floor protection, shoe covers and careful furniture handling. Work areas are cleaned as we go, and we walk the job with you before we leave.
Do You Install Vinyl Plank Or LVT As Well As Carpet?
Yes. We install carpet and selected hard-surface products for residential and commercial spaces. Product choice and subfloor prep are confirmed before install day.
Will You Move Heavy Furniture For Installation?
Furniture moving can be included when scoped. Large, fragile or built-in pieces may need special handling. We confirm what we move and what you should clear before the crew arrives.
Do You Dispose Of Old Carpet And Pad?
Yes, disposal can be added to the job. Tear-out and haul-away are itemized so you know the cost before work starts.
Can You Install Carpet Over Existing Flooring?
Sometimes, if the existing surface is sound, flat and suitable. Often old carpet and pad should come up first. We advise after seeing the floor condition.
What Transitions Do You Use Between Rooms?
We select reducers, T-mouldings or thresholds that match height changes and traffic. Transitions are part of a clean, safe finish between flooring types.
Repairs & re-stretching
Why Is My Carpet Wrinkled And What Can Be Done About It?
Carpet wrinkles, buckles, lumps, and bulges are the #1 repair complaint we receive. Wall to wall carpet stretched over pad needs re-stretching at some point during the life of the carpet related to inadequate tackstrips, improper under padding, dragging furniture and improper or extensive carpet steam cleaning can also be the causes of wrinkling.
If a carpet has inadequate stretched, the life of the carpet is reduced by as much as 90%. A loose carpet not only wears poorly but is harder to vacuum and clean.
With small children and the elderly, it may cause them to actually trip on the wrinkles, possibly causing bodily harm. With the proper method of re-stretching, when walked on, the padding acts as a “shock absorber” springing the fiber backup, thus allowing you to wear on the top of the fiber, as opposed to a loose stretched carpet that bends over and continues to be beaten down in the walk patterns causing damage to the fiber and to the backing.
Your wall to wall carpet will wear prematurely. Stretching is invisible but the most important aspect of the installation process.
It will take 3-5 years to notice if your carpet was not properly stretched. Some broadlooms require re-stretching depending on the backing and the room size.
We do offer both methods to ensure that you won’t need a re-stretching service in the feature. Please check our gallery to see some before and after images.
Can My Wall To Wall Carpet Or Broadloom Be Re-Stretched Without Removing All Of My Furniture?
Yes and No. If small objects and breakable items are removed from the area, then furniture moving pads will be used to move heavier items.
Anytime lightweight furniture is out of the room, it is easier to get tools and larger items moved around. Move as much as possible without straining yourself.
A proper re-stretching means to lift up your carpet and then to re-lay it back.
I Have An Area That Needs To Be Patched. Can This Be Repaired?
Yes. Depending on where the patch is, carpet age, the carpet type, sun location in the area – these are factors as to how much a patch will show.
Most seams even in new carpet show slightly, but most of the time the patch is better than the damage.
I Don’T Have Any Carpet To Patch With. How Do I Get A Piece That Will Work?
The best place to get a matching piece is from a closet. Sometimes fade will be a slight factor due to age, but this is going to be the same dye lot.
Then we can provide a different piece to put back in the closet. If there is no closet, a piece can be taken from under a piece of furniture that is not moved, and a different piece put in its place.
Should I Do Repairs Before Or After Cleaning?
Always make repairs prior to any cleaning. Do not allow inexperienced people to attempt repairs.
Most carpet cleaners do not possess the experience or have proper tools to professionally repair your carpet. Like anything, always look to the “specialist” for the best job.
Check our Solution Partners page for recommendations.
Can You Get Squeaks Out Of Floors?
Yes. Most generally, on a subfloor of plywood, 8 out of 10 times a squeaky, creaky floor can be eliminated or reduced.
It is necessary to pull back the carpet and pad to get to the subfloor so proper wood screws can be driven into the floor joists. In some cases, the “squeak” might be something different causing the problem.
It is not uncommon to have these “squeaks” as home ages, due to the wood curing or home settling. We have even clients with multimillion-dollar custom build mansions having this problem.
Due to the nature of this process, a job site inspection is mostly required.
How Long Does A Re-Stretch Usually Take?
Many single-room re-stretches finish in a few hours. Larger open plans or multi-room jobs take longer. We confirm after seeing photos or a site visit.
Will A Patch Always Be Invisible?
Most patches blend well but are rarely 100% invisible, especially on older or sun-faded carpet. We source the best match and place seams where they show least.
Can You Fix Pet Damage Or Burns?
Yes. Small burns, claw pulls and pet spots are often patched from closet stock or under furniture. Severe damage may need a larger section replacement.
Can You Re-Stretch Stairs And Hallways?
Yes. Stairs and hallways are common re-stretch areas. We lift, re-tension and re-secure edges so the carpet sits flat and safe under foot traffic.
Why Did My Carpet Ripple After Steam Cleaning?
Moisture and heat can relax tension, especially on older installs or weak tack strip. A proper professional stretching usually restores a flat, safe surface.
Can You Fix Open Or Peaking Seams?
Yes. Seams can often be re-seamed, sealed and blended. Age, dye lot and traffic affect how invisible the repair looks. We set clear expectations.
Do You Repair Carpet On Stairs Only?
Yes. Stair edges, nosings and runners can be repaired or re-stretched without replacing the whole house. Scope depends on wear and available matching stock.
Is Re-Stretching Cheaper Than Replacement?
Usually yes when the face fibre is still sound. Re-stretching restores tension and wear life. Replacement makes sense when backing, seams or wear are beyond repair.
Can You Match Dye Lot For A Large Patch?
Best matches come from closets or under furniture. If stock is gone, we discuss the closest available goods or a larger section replacement.
Do You Handle Carpet After A Leak Or Flood?
Once the water source is under control and the area has dried, carpet that stayed wet often needs the underpad replaced and the carpet re-stretched. For step-by-step guidance on what to do first, see our basement flood guide, or call (416) 858-7006 to talk through your situation.
Buying & estimates
How Do I Get A Quote?
Call (416) 858-7006 or use our contact form and describe the rooms, stairs and any old flooring that needs removing. For labour-only work we can often give a ballpark by phone. When material has to be ordered, we arrange a measure so seam placement and quantities are accurate.
What Happens During A Shop-At-Home Visit?
We bring samples to your home so you can see colour and texture in your own lighting, review traffic and room use, then measure and put together a written estimate. Evening and weekend windows can be arranged around your schedule.
Do You Offer Financing Or Payment Options?
Deposits and payment schedules are set out on your estimate. We accept cheque, e-transfer, Visa/Mastercard and PayPal, and third-party financing may be available subject to approval.
What Should I Prepare For The Measure?
Have your room priorities in mind, clear the main walk paths and note stairs, transitions or problem areas. Photos of hard-to-reach spaces help. Someone 18 or older should be on site to provide access and confirm decisions.
Is The Phone Estimate Final?
A phone estimate is a solid starting point when room sizes and conditions are clear. Final pricing is confirmed after a measure or site review when stairs, removal or floor prep are involved.

Care & cleaning
How Often Should I Vacuum Wall-To-Wall Carpet?
High-traffic areas benefit from vacuuming several times a week. Bedrooms can be less frequent. Use a vacuum suited to your pile so you lift soil without damaging fibres.
Should I Clean Carpet Before Or After Repairs?
Make repairs first, then clean. Cleaning over open seams, burns or loose areas can worsen damage. Specialists should handle both steps in the right order.
What Is The Best Way To Spot-Clean Spills?
Blot, do not rub. Use clean water or a mild carpet-safe solution, then blot dry. Avoid harsh household cleaners that can set stains or leave sticky residue.
How Often Should Carpet Be Professionally Cleaned?
Most homes do well with professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months. Pets, kids and heavy traffic may need it sooner. Always repair wrinkles or seams before cleaning.
Can Steam Cleaning Cause Wrinkles?
Excess moisture and heat can loosen tension on some installs. Proper drying and a quality original stretch reduce risk. If ripples appear after cleaning, a re-stretch usually fixes it.
Do You Recommend Carpet Protectors Or Scotchgard?
Factory-applied or professional protectors can help with spills. They are not stain-proof. We discuss options that match your fibre and lifestyle during selection.
How Do I Remove Salt Residue In Winter?
Vacuum thoroughly, then blot with a mild vinegar-water mix and rinse by blotting with clean water. Repeat lightly rather than soaking the carpet.
Is DIY Carpet Cleaning Safe?
Light spot care is fine. Deep DIY machines often leave moisture in the pad. For full cleans, a trained cleaner with proper extraction is safer for the install.
Can You Advise On Vacuum Settings For My Carpet?
Yes. Cut pile, berber and thick pads need different brush and height settings. Wrong settings can fuzz loops or leave soil behind.
What Maintenance Extends Carpet Life The Most?
Entrance mats, regular vacuuming, prompt spot care, correct cleaning and a proper original stretch. Small habits prevent most early wear complaints.
How Soon Can I Vacuum After New Carpet Install?
Gentle vacuuming is fine once seams and edges have settled. Avoid aggressive beater bars on brand-new loops until fibres have relaxed. We advise based on your carpet type.
Do Entrance Mats Really Matter?
Yes. Mats trap grit that acts like sandpaper on fibres. Use mats inside and outside main doors to extend carpet life dramatically.
Can Furniture Leave Permanent Indentations?
Heavy furniture can crush pile. Use coasters, rearrange occasionally and vacuum crushed areas. Deep set marks may need professional grooming or a small repair.
What Cleaners Should I Avoid On Carpet?
Avoid bleach, ammonia-heavy products and oily soaps that leave residue. Residue attracts soil. Stick to carpet-safe spotters and blot rather than soak.
Should I Rotate Area Rugs On Wall-To-Wall Carpet?
Yes if you use rugs on top. Rotation reduces uneven fade and crush patterns. Check underneath for soil lines when you move them.
Stairs & runners
Do You Install Carpet On Stairs And Stair Runners?
Yes. We install wall-to-wall stair carpet and custom runners, including pattern matching and secure edge finishing for busy homes.
What Is French Cap Versus Waterfall On Stairs?
French Cap wraps tread and riser with a tailored nose. Waterfall runs continuously over the nose. Cap usually wears better on busy stairs; we recommend based on carpet and traffic.
Do Stairs Need Special Underpad?
Stairs need firm support at the nose. We select pad and fastening methods suited to stair traffic so edges do not crush early.
Can You Install Runners On Hardwood Stairs?
Yes. Runners can be installed with rods or secure fastening systems that protect the wood while adding grip and quiet underfoot.
Why Do Stair Edges Wear Faster?
Every step concentrates pressure on the nose. Quality carpet, proper method and optional nosing protection make a large difference over time.
Can Worn Stair Carpet Be Patched Or Replaced By Section?
Sometimes. If dye lot and condition allow, we can replace stair sections. Severe wear may need a fuller stair re-cover. We advise after photos or a visit.
Do You Move Furniture For Stair Jobs?
Hall and landing items are handled carefully. Clear small objects before we arrive so tools and rolls can move safely on the stairs.
Are Patterned Carpets Harder On Stairs?
Patterns need careful matching on treads and landings. It takes more time and skill, which we plan into the estimate so seams look intentional.
Can You Re-Stretch Carpet On Stairs Only?
Yes. Loose stair carpet is a trip hazard. We re-secure and re-tension stair areas, and check landings and hallways that feed the stairs.
How Long Does A Typical Stair Install Take?
A standard residential stair run often finishes in a day. Custom runners, open sides and complex patterns can take longer. Timing is confirmed after measure.
Do You Install Bullnose Or Cap Style On Open Stairs?
Yes. Open sides and bullnose details need careful wrapping and fastening. We template and finish edges so they look clean and stay secure under traffic.
Can I Keep Hardwood Visible Beside A Stair Runner?
Yes. Runners can leave wood showing on both sides. Width, rod options and edge binding are chosen to suit your stair width and style.
Are Carpeted Stairs Safer Than Bare Wood?
Carpet adds traction and cushion, which many households prefer with kids or seniors. Proper stretch and secure nosings matter for safety.
Do You Replace Only The Most Worn Stair Treads?
Sometimes. Partial replacement works when dye lot and pattern allow. Heavy wear across many steps may need a fuller stair re-cover.
Can Patterned Carpet Be Matched On A Landing?
Yes, with careful planning. Landings and turns need extra material and skill so the pattern flows. We account for that in measure and quote.
Commercial flooring
Do You Install Commercial Carpet Tile And Broadloom?
Yes. We install carpet tile and broadloom for offices, clinics, retail and common areas, coordinated with building access rules.
Carpet Tile Or Broadloom For An Office?
Tile is modular and easy to replace in high-wear zones. Broadloom can feel more seamless. We compare traffic, budget and maintenance with you.
Can You Work After Hours Or Weekends?
Often yes. Occupied offices and retail spaces are scheduled around quiet hours, elevators and security. We confirm access before the crew arrives.
Do You Provide Certificates Of Insurance?
Yes. Property managers and commercial clients can request COI and related paperwork for building approval.
How Do You Handle Large Open Floor Plans?
We plan seams, roll direction and phasing so work zones stay usable. Material staging and protection are part of the commercial scope.
Can You Match Existing Commercial Carpet?
We try using leftover stock, attic stock or closest current dye lots. Exact matches depend on age and product availability.
Do You Install Entrance Mats And Walk-Off Systems?
Yes. Proper entrance systems reduce soil tracked onto carpet and hard surfaces, which lowers cleaning cost and wear.
What About Clinics And Medical Offices?
We schedule around patient hours, use low-disruption methods and select products suited to cleaning protocols when specified.
Can You Phase A Flooring Project Floor By Floor?
Yes. Multi-floor or multi-suite jobs can be phased so tenants stay operational. We build a clear sequence into the estimate.
Do Commercial Jobs Include Tear-Out And Disposal?
Tear-out, disposal and floor prep are itemized when needed. You see labour, materials and extras separately before work starts.
Do You Install Carpet In Condos And Common Areas?
Yes. Hallways, amenities and unit interiors are common scopes. Building rules, elevator booking and protection plans are coordinated before start.
Can You Meet After-Hours Access Requirements?
Often yes. Many offices and clinics prefer evenings or weekends. Access windows and noise rules are built into the schedule.
Do You Provide Material Take-Offs For Tender Packages?
We can measure and advise on quantities for carpet tile or broadloom when engaged for the install. Specs and waste factors are reviewed with your drawings.
How Do You Minimize Disruption To Staff Or Tenants?
Phased zones, clear walk paths, dust control and tidy daily close-outs. We plan around your operating hours whenever possible.
Do You Install Vinyl Composition Tile Or Resilient Floors?
Selected resilient products can be included when scoped. Subfloor prep and adhesive systems follow manufacturer guidelines for commercial traffic.
Materials & fibres
Nylon Versus Polyester Carpet: Which Should I Choose?
Nylon is typically stronger in high traffic and stairs. Polyester can feel soft and value-friendly in lower-traffic rooms. We match fibre to room use.
Is Wool Carpet Worth It?
Wool offers a premium feel and natural resilience. It costs more and needs proper cleaning care. Great for living rooms and low-to-medium traffic when budget allows.
What Does Face Weight Actually Mean?
Face weight is fibre ounces per square yard. It is only one clue. Twist, density and fibre type matter more for real-world durability.
What Underpad Density Do You Recommend?
Pad should match carpet construction and traffic. Too soft can wrinkle or wear early. We follow manufacturer and CRI guidance on your specific product.
Are Patterned Carpets Harder To Install?
Yes. Pattern matching needs more material and time. The result looks intentional when planned correctly, which we include in the measure and quote.
What Is Berber Carpet Best For?
Loop berbers handle traffic well and hide footprints. They can snag with pets. We discuss lifestyle before recommending loop constructions.
Do You Supply Carpet Or Only Install?
Both. We supply competitive rolled goods through wholesale channels and install in-house, or install customer-supplied material when suitable.
How Important Is Twist Level?
Higher twist usually resists matting better in cut-pile carpets. We explain twist and density in plain language when you compare samples.
Can I Mix Carpet Types Room To Room?
Yes. Many homes use tougher fibre on stairs and softer styles in bedrooms. Transitions are planned so heights and edges meet cleanly.
What Should I Ask Before Buying Carpet Online?
Confirm fibre, backing, pad needs, pattern match waste, stair method and who warrants labour. Product alone is not a complete flooring system.
What Is Solution-Dyed Fibre?
Colour is added in the fibre production stage, which improves fade and bleach resistance on many commercial and outdoor-capable products. We explain options for your use case.
Does Higher Face Weight Always Mean Better Carpet?
Not alone. Density, twist and fibre type matter as much as weight. A lighter, denser construction can outperform a heavy, loose pile in traffic areas.
What Backing Types Should I Know About?
Action bac, unitary and cushion-back systems behave differently for stretch, seams and moisture. We match backing to the install method and room conditions.
Are Eco Or Recycled Content Carpets Available?
Yes, many mills offer recycled content or lower-VOC options. We can source competitive goods through our wholesale partners when that is a priority.
How Do I Choose Carpet Colour For A Sunny Room?
Consider fade resistance, soil hiding and how light hits the pile. Mid-tones often hide traffic better than very light or very dark solids.
Shop-at-Home & process
How Does Shop-At-Home Work?
We bring samples to your home, review rooms and traffic, then measure and quote. You compare options in the actual light of your space.
How Quickly Can I Book A Consult?
Timing depends on season and route. Call (416) 858-7006 and we find the next available window, including evenings when needed.
What Happens After I Approve The Estimate?
We confirm materials, schedule install, review access notes and send reminders. Your written scope stays the reference for the job.
Do I Need To Be Home For The Measure?
Someone 18+ should provide access and room priorities. Clear decisions on stairs, transitions and furniture save rework later.
How Long From Order To Installation?
Lead time depends on product availability and crew schedule. We give a realistic window when materials are confirmed, not a vague promise.
Can You Work With My Designer Or Builder?
Yes. We coordinate specs, samples and site timing with designers, builders and property managers when you authorize it.
What Should I Clear Before Install Day?
Remove small items and breakables. We handle larger furniture carefully. Keep pets secured and parking or elevator access ready.
Do You Provide A Written Scope Of Work?
Yes. Estimates list labour, materials and extras such as stairs, tear-out and transitions so pricing stays transparent.
Can I Change Carpet Colour After Measuring?
Sometimes, if the new product fits the measure and lead time. Patterned or special-order goods may need a remake of the plan.
What If I Only Want Labour On My Own Carpet?
We can often install customer-supplied carpet when the product is suitable. Labour scope and any product limitations are confirmed first.
What Should I Prepare Before A Shop-At-Home Visit?
Clear main walk paths, note problem areas and have room priorities ready. Photos of stairs and transitions help if some spaces are hard to access.
Do You Bring Samples To My Home?
Yes. Samples let you see colour and texture in your lighting. We narrow options to what fits traffic, pets and budget.
Who Confirms The Final Measure Before Ordering?
We measure carefully before ordering goods. Pattern match, stairs and waste are included so material arrives ready for a clean install.
What If Delivery Is Delayed By The Mill?
We communicate revised dates as soon as we know. Install is scheduled when materials are confirmed so your home is not disrupted twice.
Can You Store Materials If My Home Is Not Ready?
Short-term coordination is discussed case by case. Ideal timing is delivery close to install so goods are not sitting in a busy household.
Pets & damage
What Carpet Works Best With Dogs And Cats?
Dense cut piles and solution-dyed fibres often handle pets better than open loops. We also talk about pad, cleaning habits and entry mats.
Can You Repair Pet Scratches And Pulls?
Small pulls and claw snags can often be trimmed or patched. Large areas may need a section replacement from closet stock.
Do You Fix Pet Urine Odour In Carpet?
Odour in the pad or subfloor needs more than surface cleaning. We assess whether pad replacement and sanitizing are required after the carpet is lifted.
Are Loop Berbers A Bad Idea With Cats?
Loops can snag on claws. Many pet homes do better with cut pile. If you love a loop look, we explain the trade-offs clearly.
Can Pet Damage Be Covered Under Your Free Repair Offer?
Some accidental damage repairs are covered under stated conditions when you buy and install with us. Ask us to confirm what applies to your job.
How Do I Protect Stairs From Pet Traffic?
Choose a durable fibre, keep nails trimmed and clean regularly. Secure stair installs matter because loose edges become trip points for pets and people.
Can You Patch Dark Pet Stains?
If fibres are stained through, cleaning may not be enough. A patch from matching stock is often the cleanest fix when dye lot allows.
Should I Replace Carpet After Repeated Pet Accidents?
If pad and backing are saturated, replacement can be healthier and more cost-effective than repeated cleaning. We help you decide after inspection.

Pets alone rarely cause wrinkles. Running and play on a loose install can make ripples more obvious. Re-stretching restores a flat, safe surface.
What Cleaning Routine Helps Pet Households Most?
Daily vacuuming of traffic paths, quick blot on accidents, entrance mats and periodic professional cleaning. Repair damage early before it spreads.
Do You Recommend Patterned Carpet For Pet Hair?
Patterns and mid-tones hide hair and paw traffic better than flat light solids. Fibre choice still matters for cleanability and claw resistance.
Can Claw Pulls In Berber Be Fixed Permanently?
Small pulls can often be trimmed or re-tufted. Repeated clawing on loops may need a patch or a switch to cut-pile in the next install.
Should I Replace Pad After Pet Urine Damage?
Yes when urine reached the pad. Odour lives in the cushion. New pad plus cleaning or sealing of the subfloor is the reliable fix.
Are Stair Runners Better Than Full Stair Carpet With Pets?
Runners can be easier to replace when edges wear. Full carpet softens every step. We help you weigh cleaning, safety and style.
Can You Advise On Pet-Friendly Underpad?
Yes. Density and moisture behaviour matter in pet homes. We recommend pad that supports the carpet and holds up to real household use.
