In Whitchurch-Stouffville, Stouffville Road is being upgraded; in East Gwillimbury, part of Holland Landing's Yonge Street remains closed during revitalization work; and in King City, approved employment-building activity is moving through the development process.

Stouffville Road is being resurfaced and upgraded through October.

York Region's 2026 work covers Stouffville Road from west of Woodbine Avenue to west of Highway 48. The project includes paving, intersection work, culvert repairs and guiderail updates, with temporary lane closures during construction.

Public Projects & Community UpdatesUnder construction

A Yonge Street closure in Holland Landing has been extended to October 2.

East Gwillimbury reports that Yonge Street is open from Mount Albert Road to Bradford Street/Thompson Drive, while the section south to Doane Road remains closed until October 2 because of culvert-installation safety challenges. Remaining project work is expected to continue through late 2026.
