Plan room order and furniture access before installation

For an occupied home, confirm the room sequence, furniture responsibilities and access before installation begins. A phased plan can keep part of the home usable while work progresses.

  • Furniture-cycling system
  • Occupied-home sequencing
  • Dust-minimizing tear-out

03
Project planning

Two ways to stage carpet renewal in an established home.

Useful when the work will happen in phases or before a planned sale.

Renew in layers, not all at once.
For long-tenure owners

Separate urgent repairs from later replacement areas.

Bedrooms, stairs and the basement can be planned as separate phases. Keep product names, colour references and measurements together so later work can be compared accurately.

Start a renewal plan
Refresh floors before the appraisal, not after.
For downsizing preparers

Complete agreed flooring work before photography or appraisal.

Before a planned sale, complete only the agreed flooring work that improves condition and presentation. Coordinate timing with painting, cleaning and photography.
