City of Burlington · Prospect Street update ↗Prospect Street renewal includes overnight closures at Guelph Line as Civic Square, City Hall and Brant Street undergo a broader downtown renewal. To the west, Bronte Creek Meadows remains in planning for its first mixed-use residential phase.

Guelph Line and Prospect Street have overnight closures scheduled.
The City schedules intersection closures for September 17 and 18, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. A further closure may be needed September 21. The intersection is to remain open over the September 19-20 weekend, with emergency access maintained.

Construction is scheduled from April 2026 to April 2027. The project combines Civic Square improvements, City Hall facade work and Brant Street streetscaping with provincial and municipal infrastructure funding.
